How Long To Use No Contact Rule?
How Long No Contact Rule?
There is no set amount of time. It all depends on YOUR SITUATION. Everyone’s is different. I will say you should use it somewhere between 1-4 weeks and not longer than that unless you HAVE to. The longer you have no contact with your ex, the more they will miss you, BUT if they don’t start to come back, then you need to take matters into your own hand. Meaning, you need to stop using the no contact rule and start asking to hang out or go on a date.
A good way to estimate how long to use no contact rule is by remembering the importance of no contact after breakup. Because the entire point of this method is to make them miss you, therefore they will be dying to talk with you again. So, if after a month and they have no interest in talking with you, then it time to drop the no contact method and take action.
What To Do If The No Contact Rule Doesn’t Work?
There are many methods out there you can try to win your ex back if no contact doesn’t work. In my free newsletter, I talk about several different methods. The first step is to contact them (preferably NOT by text or email) and tell them that you it was YOUR fault. Yup, even if it wasn’t your fault, you need to take the blame because that’s what they want to hear. Let them know you understand why they left and you would like to catch up with them sometime.
All you need is a short conversation telling them how you agree with the breakup and how you would like to meet sometime. Do not start to talk about how much you miss them and how you are lonely, and desperate you are without them.
